Restoring Butte one building at a time.

Butte Historic Trust is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was formed to rescue at-risk historic buildings in the community of Butte, Montana, and give them a new lease on life. We do this by purchasing, rehabilitating, and selling the buildings with preservation easements attached. Funds from the sale of a restored property are put toward restoring more buildings. By preserving the unique historic landscape of Butte, we are helping to revitalize the local economy, improve neighborhoods, and carry the places and stories that make up Butte forward for the next generation. We believe that Butte's historic places are the foundation of a vibrant future.
